The Wet and Naughty Show

Where burlesque from 1900 meets amphibians and fish.

During my research into the feminist art movement of burlesque (the art of clothing removal), I discovered that around 1900, businessmen began asking burlesque performers to show more skin. This ultimately led to burlesque as we know it today. The feminist art movement was disrupted purely for male pleasure.

What could burlesque have looked like if the performers had taken back their power the night after? In a theatrical style inspired by amphibians and fish.

Performers: Dido Friede, Simas Urbonavičius, Felix Draisma, Boor Draisma, Liz McDonnell
Sound Design: Felix Draisma
